In this motion graphics, I designed and animated a character puppet of Michael Jordan, paying meticulous attention to follow-through and overlapping action principles to ensure natural movement. As I considered the character's movements prior to illustrating, I constructed all the necessary pieces for rigging. The video showcases Michael Jordan wearing his legendary Chicago Bulls 23 jersey, walking onto the basketball court backdrop, where a basketball bounces into the frame from the left, landing effortlessly into his hand. With carefully crafted easing and utilization of the Graph Editor, I brought the animation to life, as Michael Jordan effortlessly spun the basketball on his finger. This short movement cycle showcases the character's dynamic and fluid motions, making it a compelling addition to my portfolio of motion graphics projects.
